I think it was John Grace who once said "It's all just training for British Columbia". He was referring to the super challenging creeking and multi day wilderness whitewater trips that are located all over this mountainous province. There is a lifetime worth of easy and intermediate paddling too. Whether it is multi day ocean trips, winter whitewater paddling on Vancouver Island, surfing tidal rapids, creeking in the interior, remote trips up north BC offers it all and then some.

Whitewater Kayak Trips or Routes

Slocan

Lower
Lemon Creek - Very Continuous. There are few eddies on the run. Potential for lots of wood hazard. Scout thoroughly from road while driving up (you can see about 80% of the run), good to get local beta before running it. only becomes class IV+ at very high/flood flows. The rest of the time, it is shallow/scrapy, but easier.
Waterfall
Nemo Creek - Short section of Nemo Creek, a park'n'huck feature. Putting in above the falls, expect a 3' slot into a 25 foot granite drop into a nice, deep pool. After that, there are a couple of manky slides that you can choose to run or walk, before coming back out into Slocan lake. The biggest hazard here is high water; the pool directly above the big waterfall turns into a deep whirlpool/cave combo. Make sure you go when the water is medium/low.
