I think it was John Grace who once said "It's all just training for British Columbia". He was referring to the super challenging creeking and multi day wilderness whitewater trips that are located all over this mountainous province. There is a lifetime worth of easy and intermediate paddling too. Whether it is multi day ocean trips, winter whitewater paddling on Vancouver Island, surfing tidal rapids, creeking in the interior, remote trips up north BC offers it all and then some.

Nicola River - Grade one paddle with the potential for sweepers. Downstream of Spius Creek the current picks up a little.
Nicola Canyon
Nicola River - This is a really playful section of river running with some good midstream boulders, small surf waves and a couple larger rapids with fun wave trains. It passes through some very dramatic scenery with dry grasslands, ponderosa pines, and rocky outcrops.
Lower Spius Creek
Spius Creek - This is a low volume river with lots of twists and turns and small rapids. It has lots of wood hazards and one decent class 3 drop.
Coldwater Canyon
Coldwater - This is a fun little river with a couple really nice surf waves and 2 short challenging rapids. It has some old train bridges from the Kettle Valley Railway. It has many little boulder gardens and unfortunately lots of wood. The two class 3 rapids ( Triple Nacho can become class 4- at high water). Scout Triple Nacho from River right. Scout/ portage Final exam from river right at train bridge.
