I think it was John Grace who once said "It's all just training for British Columbia". He was referring to the super challenging creeking and multi day wilderness whitewater trips that are located all over this mountainous province. There is a lifetime worth of easy and intermediate paddling too. Whether it is multi day ocean trips, winter whitewater paddling on Vancouver Island, surfing tidal rapids, creeking in the interior, remote trips up north BC offers it all and then some.

Holland Creek - Overall everything is quite clean, but a couple things to be aware of, my paddle got stuck on the lip of the first drop which is a 10 ft weir onto a short slide, Luckily it came out as I went over. The second drop is a hole that you go center -> left which sets you up for the ramp onto the main drop which is a 40 ft slide reconnect drop. If you are pointing to far to the left you will end up in an eddy right above the drop, everything worked out both times the eddy was caught but you don’t have quite as much speed coming out of it. On the main drop you go down the center. The flake half way down is more prominent to the right, you can take a stroke half way down on the flake or if your a little to the left you can plug it. When it’s higher you are fairly limited to going right down the center. Be aware it it’s a hard hit. Can get out on river right after or continue downstream and run a few other drops.
