I think it was John Grace who once said "It's all just training for British Columbia". Ashnola River - Roadside valley-bottom run through broken rocks and ledges. Consistent in character. For Class IV boaters it is easily boat scoutable though portaging and scouting is easy from the river bank. It is typically an early season run (May / June) as it relies on snowmelt or large rain events.
