OBJ
Oh Be Joyful Creek - The skate park for Creek boaters. OBJ is by far one of the best runs in Colorado and the definition of Colorado boating. OBJ has drops, big slides, rapids in slides and at low and Medium flows OBJ is worth lapping as many times as possible before it rises to hi in the afternoons. If you are through on a road trip then make sure to hit the classic Quad Crown. OBJ is the centre pillar of the Quad crown with the other 3 jewels being the Upper East, The Slate River and Daisy Creek.
Daisy
Daisy Creek - A mini version of Oh Be Joyful and one of the jewels of the Crested Butte quad crown. This run has 2 main drops and a bunch of slides in between. Another text book Colorado Run. Daisy Creek is just down right FUN. A consistent Class V- run That is a step down from OBJ and a Step up of Upper East. The 2 main drops are Big Woody falls and Rip your Head Off. Big woody Is a straight forward 20 footer with a straight lead in. Rip your Head off which starts with a small slide into a 90 right turn into a choked up line with an under cut on each side at head level. Hence the name rip your head off.
