Whitewater Kayak Trips or Routes

Boulder

Elephant Butress
Boulder Creek - Starting at the Red Lion Inn, this run is mostly read and run class III. Below the Elephant Butress climbing zone near the mouth of the canyon, there is the crux rapid. Elephant Buttress consists of a ledge hole, a 5 ft slide/ boof, and then a high speed runout. Stay left for the first 2 drops, and then work right to center on the runout. At the end of the run, there is nice surfing at the Boulder Playpark.
Town Run
Boulder Creek - Class II- III beginner stretch right in town. The upper section is an easily lappable playpark that is often full of tubers. There are several great play waves along this stretch that can be boated super low. This run can be easily hiked, and has multiple access points.
