We are a community club located in Calgary, AB. Our focus is on building community around paddle sports; specifically whitewater kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddleboarding. We aim to engage with students by having a strong campus presence at the University of Calgary. Nonetheless, we are open to members of the public of all skills and abilities. All of your rafting, kayaking or SUP and safety gear and equipment will be ready and waiting with our staff. Your 2-3 hr trip starts at Shouldice Park, and ends at St Patrick's Island.

Thanks for checking out the Calgary Canoe Club. The sport of paddling includes a variety of disciplines and most of those disciplines (river, sea kayaking etc) can be found in the Calgary area. Over the years we have dabbled in some river tripping and river kayaking. We have narrowed our focus to do what we feel we do best and that is to focus the CCC programming on youth and adult competitive paddling programs here on the reservoir. This includes sprint canoe/kayak and outrigger (for adults). Due to the congestion with other training activities on the reservoir at the North Glenmore Park location we limit the variety of paddling activities we offer. Weekday evenings and weekends are very busy with training therefore we do not offer any lesson programs during these times. Note that parking will be limited. We still encourage our recreation members and canoe rentals to come down and explore the reservoir. Check out the links below. We do NOT offer: Adult recreation courses for canoes and kayaks. The Rocky Mountain Paddling Centre has been instructing and guiding in the Calgary area for over 20 years. We have built our reputation around the highest quality programs that you can find. Our goal is to “Create an exciting learning experience in a safe and comfortable environment”. RMPC’s professional staff are a unique group of individuals who have two important qualities. The Rocky Mountain Paddling Centre also offers courses in river rescue and certifies paddle instructors in both nationally recognized programs, NCCP and Paddle Canada. All of the Rocky Mountain Paddling Centre’s instructors are nationally certified with years of paddling experience. They will not only share their skills with you but their enthusiasm and love of paddling as well.

The Glenmore Sailing School rents canoes and kayaks. An understanding of reservoir bylaws, and adherence to water safety guidelines are required for all rentals. All canoe, and kayak rentals are made at the Boat Patrol office in person on a first come, first served basis (cannot be pre-booked), weather permitting. Alberta Whitewater Slalom supports, develops, and promotes the sport of whitewater slalom in Alberta consistent with the national Long Term Paddler Development Program. We support the network of Alberta Whitewater clubs to participate and thrive in the sport of whitewater slalom! Additionally, we offer slalom programming for introductory, intermediate, elite, and recreational level paddlers interested in learning how to paddle slalom. As Alberta Slalom steps into the year 2022 we are expanding our horizons and supporting all to join in the gates: raft slalom, SUP slalom, open canoe slalom, all are welcome and a part of our community. Please register for of our season programs, followed by a 'program participant membership' to access member pricing for camps. We have a limited number of youth slalom boats available to be rented for our programs, to pay for a boat rental register for a full season rental or half season rental. Half season rentals are also applicable for second categories.
