We provide the paddleboard, lifejacket, paddle, and shuttle service. You just have to show up. Edmonton Paddleboarding was launched in 2023 to provide people in the Edmonton area an easy and fun way to get out on the river paddleboarding. Nothing is better on a hot summer day, than spending it exploring the river and seeing Edmonton from a new perspective. Our home base and meeting spot is Dawson Park. This is where you will check in, and board the shuttle. The shuttle will take all paddlers up river to Laurier Park Boat Launch, where your paddleboard will be waiting. Once on the river, your paddle board will take you through downtown Edmonton and back down to Dawson Park. We also provide a shuttle only option where you can bring your own paddleboard, and long-term paddleboard rentals. Safety is our top priority, but having fun is a close second.

Drop by the Rundle Park Paddling Centre on Tuesdays for good paddling. The Ceyana Canoe Club offers Rundle Park Paddling Sessions on Tuesdays, starting the Tuesday after the May long weekend through to late September. The public is welcome to try paddling at 7:30 p.m., and by the third session, a club membership is required. You’ll have access to 20+ kayaks (whitewater and lake) and over 20 canoes (tandem and solo), Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) as well as paddles, PFDs, bailers and throw bags. Informal instruction is available. Please note that there are no paddling sessions on the Tuesdays after the Canada Day, August Civic Holiday and Labour Day weekends.

SUP River Trek – Devon to Edmonton Join us for our annual Devon to Edmonton (Laurier Park) Stand Up Paddle River Trek. Sunday, July 17 We meet at Laurier Park in Edmonton – shuttle you and your board out to Devon and paddle the 34 km back to Edmonton. Total time on the water ranges from 4 to 5 hours. Cost is $30. per person, and will include shuttle service (for you and your board) as well and drinks and snacks along the river. You MUST pre-register no later than July 13 to be eligible for the shuttle service. You must have your own board / paddle / leash / whistle and PFD to take part. The United Albertan Paddling Society is a recreational whitewater kayaking club based out of Edmonton, Alberta. With strong instructional programming for both adults and youth, UAPS has been introducing paddlers to the excitement of whitewater since 1978.
