Whitewater Section
Muskrat River - An easy access whitewater run in early spring, which turns into swifts and shallow rapids in early summer. Through the heart of downtown Pembroke.
Traverse - McManus wilderness trip
Petawawa River - One of Canada's classic wilderness whitewater canoe trips. Rapids progress in difficulty from CII to CIV ledge drops, with the final days in continuous CII. Beautiful campsites. It's a classic for good reason.
Barron Canyon
Barron River - Likely the most beautiful one day canoe trip in Algonquin Park - through the heart of the 70m deep Barron Canyon gorge. A flatwater trip with 3 easy portages. Suitable for all abilities.
Pembroke to Allumette Island
Ottawa River - Flatwater paddle on the Ottawa River at pembroke. Multiple put in options here depending on which side of the river you are. See map for options.
