Paddling on the York River

York River - After a decent rain this might be more in than out. When going towards the Ottawa from the South this is worth checking out. On the way to Minden from the North East this is worth checking out. There are two rapids you can paddle up to on this section. In higher water it looks like a lot of fun, in low water it looks like you will just take some years off your boat. Drop is short of 3 metres. Look for wood as you go up.
