Paddling on the Sullivan Creek

Sullivan Creek - This is a bit of a novelty run though worth doing if you have done everything else in the area and the water level is high on the highwood. I have only run this once but the highwood was at about 80cms when we did it and it was a good level. The run starts through braided farm pastures, keep an eye out for barbed wire fences. From my memory there is a couple of little bedrock canyon sections that have fun Class IV rapids formed by constrictions and gradient drops. This run doesnt get run too often so best to treat it as a first descent! You also get to paddle the fun canyon section of the Highwood to get to the takeout.
