Paddling on the South Saskatchewan River

South Saskatchewan River - This is a great 25 kilometre stretch of river from the "beach" along Spadina in Saskatoon to the river ferry in the town of Warman. Occasionally, there are shallow spots. Most of the banks to the left, or West, nearest the highway, are steep, so while it's possible to stop and rest on a small beach, be prepared for a 4-5 hour paddle before pickup. When exiting at the ferry, watch for the underwater cable.
