Trips and Routes

Lower Slocan
Slocan River - The lower Slocan River is a great grade II option with an exciting class III rapid near the end of the 4.5 km. run. The difficulty of rapids increase as you descend down the river run ranging from simple pool drop to wave trains, to exciting longer rapids towards the take out. Park an play is limited to a few waves at medium to low flow but there is an abundance of catch on the fly features. The elevator waves, Canadian wave and 5.0 wave are the most notable features. The majority of rapids can be scouted from your craft. The crux of the run, the Facina Rapids are land scouted form the river right trail that goes through private property, the land owner has requested people using the trail do not pick his wild berries. A great run for Canoeists, inflatable SUP paddlers, and whitewater kayaks.
Upper Slocan Float
Slocan River - The upper stretches of the Sloan River host beautiful crystal clear water, sandy beaches, pebble islands, and beautiful mountain scenery. Many local paddlers use this water way to practice moving water skills in a safer environment. In late July and August you will be sharing the water way with potentially hundreds of recreational floaters. There are some rapids at Lemon Creek, Winlaw, Slocan Park and a few S-turn style rapids below Slocan Park including one last rapid before the take out at Crescent Valley Beach
