Skookumchuck Creek - This run is about as good as it gets for Class IV paddlers. Kilometer after kilometer of quality read and run, continuous whitewater. In lower flows it is a long day and pretty bony and scrappy, at medium and high flows it is a rocking ride with big waves, technical moves and plenty of holes to avoid.
Be aware that wood is an ever present hazard in Skookumchuck Creek. In medium or above flows many of the eddies you use to stop above potential tree hazards are no longer there. It is also really remote, so that does give it an extra 'challenge' factor.
There are loads of rapids so it isn't worth trying to explain them all. Go with a strong crew, take your time and enjoy this amazing run.
