Highway 2 to Salteux landing
Salteux River - A fun full day float with a portage near top around a 1 km log jam. During spring and higher water there are some fun riffles to paddle through, however it is mostly pretty mellow.
There are also arctic grayling in this river so, with a permit they make for great fishing.
You also pass the historic Saulteaux Spurfield and this is part of the trans Canada river trail.
