Trips and Routes

Cemetary to Pembina River Campground
Pembina River - With leadership this is a good beginner run not too far from Edmonton. Many Edmonton Clubs use this as an intro to Whitewater run. The put-in is a bit of a grunt as you need to hike your boats down several hundred meters of steep path. There is some nice scenery as the river is in a deeply incised Valley. There are lots of opportunities to work on eddy turns and ferries as you work your way down the river.
Sangudo to Meadowview
Pembina River - Best run in the spring or after decent amount of rain. It is a easy float trip for the most part. Watch for wood and corners and some large rocks as the main hazards.
Hwy 18 to Twp 603A
Pembina River - This is a short run that was done when the river was low. It took 4 hours with very little paddling. Watch for sand beaches along the way and some rocks when the river is low.
