Nechako River - This is a classic float for Prince George on hot summer days. Although a few folks will take out before you get to Cottonwood Island Park.
By going all the way to Cottonwood Island Park you go under three out of six of Prince George's bridges that span the two intersecting rivers. The other three cross the Fraser river. This classic float is a great introduction to moving water with a few gentle eddies along the banks and plently of space to float. There existing a small surf wave near the end of Walsh road, existing on the south side of the river. Be aware of motorized river boats on this stretch
