Kootenay River Playspots - Brilliant wave can range from a trashy deep hole to a very large green bouncy wave and everything in between. Lower summer levels make for a great learning wave or Stand Up Paddle wave. At spring and early summer levels an opportunity to surf up to four features at a time is possible. The first wave is Solstice, an angled tubing wave that must be ridden on a left edge. Lucky 13 is a trashy hole at most levels except for flood levels where the wave is large and green with a very big foam pile. Behind Lucky 13, Brilliant wave followed by Organ Grinder a pulsing wave that can dish out smiles or beatdowns given the surge.
