Upper Koch
Koch Creek - Koch Creek (pron. Koe) is an after work classic for many local paddlers looking for an exciting creek run in the Slocan Valley. The run starts off with a substantial rapid upstream of the highest bridge on the river. Use this as a gauge to determine difficulty of rapids below. The Krux rapid is best scouted and portaged on the river left marked by an obvious horizon line and large wood structures spanning from river left to 3/4 of the entrance to the right. Classic BC creeking in emerald coloured waters and smooth rock features. Put in at the confluence of Grizzly Creek and take out at a non disrupt trail that is best found if you look at the river left after passing a massive saw dust pile on the same side.
