Paddling on the Jarvis Creek

Jarvis Creek - This is a fun little runoff season creek with the biggest rapids being beaver dams and one quicker section after Graveyard Lake. The section from Highway 40 to Graveyard Lake is completely class 1. There is one tricky section between Graveyard Lake and Cache Lake Campground that often has wood in it, just as you get into faster water. Portage over multiple trees, or hop out and walk 400m on the road. Otherwise it is a meandering creek that will test the piloting skills of any tandem canoe. Takeout at Gregg Lake Campground
