Paddling on the Gull River

Gull River - 800 m of challenging whitewater maintained by Whitewater Ontario as a training and slalom race centre.

Gull River - The Upper Gull is a seldom run gem, that is ideal for those that are comfortable with the Minden Whitewater Preserve from below Whitehorse falls. It is something different and an enjoyable day when it's in. The flow is reasonably quick and there is one drop that should be scouted for wood but it is the one that is obvious to do so. Only one vehicle is needed, so if you are coming from Minden, save your money and carpool. The river meanders enough to make the walk back to the car reasonably short.
