Coquitlam River - The River comes in best during heavy rain, it starts with a couple class IV- drops that can be portaged and eases into class 3 from then on. This river is often best when in high/flood stage therefore forethought must be given to the lack of eddys as the river is often in the trees at this point. so its best to avoid swimming on this run. The river forks in several places, and some of the channels have secured wood structures and the occasional fish trap, so scout whenever the river forks and a clean line is not visible. Its a nice run that can be lapped multiple times in a day or as a good after work run.
