Paddling on the Cameron Creek

Cameron Creek - Cameron Creek is a classic creek run. Not a run you would expect to find in the deep south of the rocky mountains. Right off the bat you have quality creek boating in the Class IV - V range, in a very rocky mountains style canyon. The Upper run only takes 45 minutes to an hour (plus or minus depending on scouting etc), but is just full of quality whitewater. The lower run definitely steps up the difficulty a notch and the river heads into a deep scree sided canyon. This section has (within reasonable portaging) a must run 20' drop that has a nasty cave waiting in the runout. If you do the lower be aware that this is part of the run.
