Arkansas - This is a fairly continuous section of the Arkansas River directly below the "Numbers" section. It's similar in nature but a bit easier. The most challenging part of the run is at the beginning, sometimes referred to as the "Miracle Mile". At high water (above 2000 cfs) it can be very continuous and pushy with few eddies but never really goes beyond a class III+ rating. After this section, the difficulty eases up a bit.
There are warning signs for a sieve at Frog Rock rapid about half way through the run telling you to stay left. Over the years, there have been some deaths at this rapid from swimmers who got pushed to the right side, however the line through the rapid is very clear and not particularly difficult. Scout from river left if necessary but very few paddlers scout it because of the clean line.
