Program Description
A drop in clinic with the summer long development program focused on freestyle kayaking. A collaborative and fun focused training community aimed at junior paddlers in the Transformations and Pursuit of Excellence stages. The team will work together with our coaches to acquire and refine competition skills and tricks.
Goals
The ultimate goal of this program is to cultivate paddlers love of playboating and produce lifelong soul surfers and tricksters. An important secondary goal is to train junior freestyle kayakers to participate at provincial and national level competitions. Another key goal is to foster mentorship between experienced participants and novice participants, thereby initiating participants into a coaching pathway that may lead them to professional coaching.
Skill Level
Beginner; LTDP: Developmentals; Minor Trick List
Pre-Requisites
Paddling ability on grade II-III whitewater; fairly consistent river roll; some surf or jet ferry attempts

As a rule of thumb:
Transformations: 12 – 17 years old (3 - 6 years paddling experience)
Pursuit of Excellence:- Females 15 to 17 years - Males 16 to 17 years (5 - 8 years of paddling experience)
